How accurate are the free CAT tests
Hi,
Just wanted to know how accurate are the one free CAT tests that each of the companies provide – Kaplan, MGMAT, Veritas, Princeton etc. ?
Is there any one of the above that more closely mimics the actual GMAT ?
Basically, what would be a good one to take, if you have run out of the GMAT prep tests ?
Thanks,
Subhankar
Frankly, I believe gmat prep tests should be taken when you are in the last leg of your preparation. MGMAT CATs are really good followed by Veritas..
Thanks Sachin.
I took the gmat preps early, since I wanted to do the advanced documents provided by Crackverbal, which are questions from within the GMAT prep tool.
I took the kaplan and found that all the questions were kind of tough and draining on energy and concentration.
Here is another question – How true is the statement that what you get on the Kaplan, you need to add another 50 odd points or so to get a feel of your actual gmat score ?
At this point, I would like to believe it since I scored lower on it than what I scored on the gmat preps1 🙂
About tough Quant Questions, It really depends on how much your target score is. I know a friend at Crackverbal who did just OG and got a 49..
I believe kaplan’s tests shows exaggerated scores? is dat true?
Not sure. Have you taken the GMATPrep? Does it show a discrepancy there?
