Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers

Which is better for MBA admissions - GMAT or GRE?

Both exams are accepted by top MBA programs worldwide. Most schools do not prefer one test over the other. The right choice depends on your strengths and target schools. If you enjoy data analysis and structured reasoning, the GMAT may suit you better. If you’re more comfortable with vocabulary and reading-heavy sections, the GRE could be a better fit. We help you decide which one works better for you through short diagnostics.

When should I start preparing for the GMAT or GRE?

Ideally, 3–4 months before your MBA application deadlines. This gives you time for a retake if needed and ensures your test prep doesn’t clash with essays and work responsibilities. If you’re short on time, you can start drafting application essays during the final month of your test prep, since your story does not depend on your score.

Why is Crackverbal especially effective for non-native English speakers?

Most global curriculums assume native-level fluency. Since most of our students are non-native English speakers, we teach GMAT verbal reasoning using logic and pattern recognition instead of language fluency. This helps students understand why an answer works, not just what sounds right.

Can’t I just use AI (like ChatGPT) to prepare or write my essays?

AI is useful for explanations, but it can’t coach test-taking behavior or build a personal MBA story the way a human mentor can. Business schools are now actively screening essays to filter out generic, AI-generated content. We use technology for support, but rely on expert mentors to shape authentic stories that feel real and personal.

Are online GMAT and GRE classes as effective as classroom coaching?

Yes — especially for working professionals. GMAT online classes save travel time, offer recordings for revision, and keep learning live and structured. Our Live Online and Personal Tutoring programs combine scheduled classes with detailed performance insights and regular mentor feedback.

What does Crackverbal’s MBA admissions consulting include and can I start before taking the GMAT?

Yes, you can start early. Our service includes school selection, resume building, essay writing, LORs, and interview prep. Nearly 40% of your application does not depend on your GMAT or GRE score. Starting early will reduce stress and give us time to extract authentic stories and ensure your essays stand out.

Does Crackverbal offer a Score Improvement Guarantee?

Test scores depend on several factors, including student effort, so we cannot guarantee a particular score or score improvement. However, students who consistently follow their personalized study plan typically see clear and measurable improvements.

What results have Crackverbal students achieved?

Since 2006, thousands of Crackverbal students have achieved high GMAT and GRE scores and secured admits to schools like ISB, INSEAD, Wharton, and LBS. You can explore video interviews and success stories from students with profiles similar to yours on our Success Stories page.

Does Crackverbal help with study materials and mock tests?

Yes. We provide structured study material and doubt-solving support. We recommend official GMAT mocks from mba.com, as they are closest to the real exam. Our mentors analyze your mock performance and plan your next steps accordingly.
